Resting on Your Feet

Audio/Video

Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30

Have you experienced days and/or times where something in your life just seemed like it had no end? Perhaps you are going through that now with your job- you know you need it, but it’s actually just a means to an end, because you would really love to be doing something else? Perhaps it’s a difficult situation that has been ongoing and you can’t wait for it to end. I think we’ve all been there at some point or points in our lives.

Well, the beauty of serving the Lord is that you can actually rest on your feet. Yes, right in the midst of your situation, the Lord will give you rest. And He is the only one that can rest your heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit while you are still experiencing whatever you’re going through. To have this reassurance will get you through even the most challenging and trying times. Being on a private tropical island with the most amazing crystal blue water and a gentle breeze doesn’t even compare, because absolutely nothing can beat hearing Jesus say those divinely, peaceful relaxing words- Come unto Me and I will give you rest.

As you go through your week and beyond, whatever you’re going through, when you feel burdened down, or the pressures rising, stop and allow yourself to hear Jesus saying ‘Come unto Me- I will give you rest”. Even while you’re still going, you can rest on your feet in the midst of it all. Ahhhh, what divine bliss.

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for being my sanctuary for every situation in my life. Lord I have the blessed reassurance of knowing that no matter what I’m going through that You will rest my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit in the midst of it all. I ask You to block out all distractions and prepare me to hear Your voice, ever so clearly, bidding me to come to You for divine rest so that I can rest right on my feet Lord no matter the situation.

In Jesus name I pray, Thank You Lord,

Amen
