Exodus 14:14
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Deuteronomy 1:30
The LORD your God which goeth before you, He shall fight for you, according to all that He did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee;
yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.
Being in battle can be extremely demanding, stressful, challenging, and draining. It demands your time, energy, resources, will-power, and focus. In fact, a lack in any of these things can compromise your success and cause you to lose the battle against your opponent.
Battles can be of a personal, financial, business, legal, or spiritual matter, such as fighting a temptation to sin. But the common thread to any battle is the spiritual wickedness in high places taking place behind the scenes. You must recognize there is always spiritual wickedness being planned against you, no matter the type of battle. The enemy uses spiritual weapons of destruction to try and bring you down. Some of these weapons are doubt, fear, distractions, insecurities, lack of clarity, and confusion.
The Bible says the thief, Satan, comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. Therefore, in any battle the enemy comes to steal your faith in God, steal your strength, and steal your confidence in your ability to win the fight. The enemy comes to kill your fighting spirit, and ultimately to crush and destroy you.
But praise God, you are not fighting the battle alone! The Lord is with you. Moreover, with the Lord on your side, the battle is already won. Just like the Lord did for the children of Israel, He will do the same thing for you. He will go before you to prepare the way. When you show up, ready to do battle, the Lord will do just what He said He will do. The Lord will fight for you.
So don’t despair as you fight your battles. Have faith in the Lord God Almighty. Have faith in His wonder-working unmatched power. Have faith in His divine strength. Have faith in His omniscience to know every move of your opponent. Have faith in the Lord that the battle is already won because the Lord your God will fight for you.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for the battles in my life. Although the battles can be extremely challenging and physically, mentally, and spiritually demanding, each battle that I face is an opportunity for me to grow in You and to get closer to You. Each battle that I face is an opportunity for me to see more of who You are and Your miraculous, wonder-working power. Please help me to walk in complete faith in You. Please remove any doubt, insecurities, anxiety, weaknesses that the enemy tries to use against me. Please help me to stand firm on Your promises that You have gone before me to prepare the way. Lord, help me to know that with You by my side, I am fully equipped for the battle, and I will win. Help me Lord to realize that no matter my opponent, I’m never alone because You will fight for me.
In Jesus most precious and holy name we pray, I praise and thank You Lord,
