Are you doing what God has called you to do? Have you been as productive as you want and need to be in achieving your purpose? Have you set any goals for today, this month, this year in your walk with Jesus? If you are not where you want to be and most importantly where you should be on this journey- what is the weight that is holding you back and holding you down?
God has called each one of us to a specific purpose in being here on this earth. We are each given a certain amount of time to achieve that purpose and a certain path as well. One person’s journey will look very different from another person’s journey and their time frame will also be very different. But the common thread is that no one will get to where they are supposed to be in the timeframe that they are supposed to be there with weights holding them back and down.
Some weights are more apparent than others, such as too much TV, social media, etc. But, there are weights that are not so apparent and are hidden even from the person carrying them. That is why we must pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal things to us which keep us from achieving all that God has called us to do. God will make what’s seen clearer and He will make clear what’s unseen so that you can achieve your God-given purpose.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for giving each one of us a specific purpose in achieving Your will. Lord I pray for clarity and direction in all that You have called me to do. And Lord I pray, by Your Holy Spirit that You would help me to remove any known weights and reveal any hidden weights that are holding me back from achieving my God-given purpose, so that I can run this race with divine productivity for You.
In Jesus name I pray and ask these things,
Amen
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
