Psalms 40:1

Depression is a major and common mental health disorder occurring in adults and even children. According to the Centers for Disease Control and the American Psychological Association, it is estimated that close to 300 million adults and 2 million children ages 3-17 years old have been diagnosed and treated for depression. However, these statistics likely underestimate the true number of people suffering from depression, as not everyone who suffers from depression seeks treatment.
Depression entails a host of symptoms, which affects a person’s mood, thoughts, physical, mental, and emotional energy, hopes, dreams, goals, sleep patterns, eating habits, social relationships and more. But no matter how long the list of symptoms or how long a person has suffered from depression, there is nothing too hard for God. Whether one symptom or 20, God is able to heal completely and permanently. That’s because only God can search out those hidden areas of depression that have taken roots growing into a tree full of symptoms. Only God has the perfect solution because only God is the perfect solution.
No matter how bleak the circumstances, no matter the cause, no matter what the doctor says, no matter what’s been tried already, try God. Trust God, the Almighty Healer. Trust God to heal depression.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for being the Almighty Healer, healing depression with even the deepest roots. Lord I pray that anyone who is dealing with depression will turn to You for complete healing and restoration. I pray they know they are not alone and will cast their burdens on You. Lord I pray that today begins the journey of healing from depression for someone who hears this message and that they will give You a praise testimony of their healing. I pray for Your children Lord that this year be a year of healing from depression.
In Jesus name I pray,
