A mirror is a very powerful tool, revealing more than just a reflective image of a person. When some people look into a mirror they see negative labels, gained through the judgment of self or others, which leads them to a version of themselves that is very different than the truth. But when you are serving God, you look into a mirror not only with your natural eyes, but with your spiritual eyes as well, and what you see is yourself in God’s truth, which is the absolute truth. You see yourself inside and out, created in God’s image: full of strength, full of creativity, full of purpose, full of beauty, full of grace, full of God. When you are serving God you see yourself not through the false judgment of self or others- you see yourself as God sees you, a divinely created, exquisite, and wonderfully unique masterpiece. You see yourself through God’s eyes.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for the ability to look into the mirror with my spiritual eyes, and see myself in the absolute truth, Your truth. I see a person created in Your image- full of strength, creativity, purpose, beauty, grace, and most importantly full of You. Lord, I ask that today You would help me to see even deeper into all that You have created me to be. I praise You Lord God that when I look into the mirror today and everyday, I see the exquisite and wonderfully unique masterpiece that You have divinely created in me, because I see myself through Your eyes, Lord God.
