February 25

Have you ever been watching a really good show, only to have the show interrupted with a loud beeping noise and then a loud message – This is Only a Test? There was nothing you could do to hurry the process so that you could get back to your show, you just had to wait until the test was over. In the Bible, King Hezekiah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and because of this God blessed him to prosper in all that he did. But King Hezekiah became prideful, and it seemed that he didn’t’ even recognize the downward nature from his success. Well, he may not have recognized it, but God sure did. And the Bible says that God left King Hezekiah, to try him, to know what was in his heart. God in His Omniscience knows all things so God didn’t test Hezekiah so that God could learn something new. No, God tested King Hezekiah so that King Hezekiah could learn something new about himself. You may be going through a trying time; you may even feel like God is not there. But trust that God will never leave or forsake you. Sometimes it’s just a test to reveal to you what’s in your heart and draw you closer to God. You can’t hurry the process, because you can’t hurry God. But, if you are in tune to the Holy Spirit, you will learn what it is that God is showing you and be all the better for it.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for testing me. There are so many things that I don’t know and Lord only You know what's deep in my heart. Lord I don’t know the path to being the best that I can be for You, unless You reveal it to me by Your Holy Spirit. Please help me to have patience through my tests and to look to You. Please help me to be attuned to Your Holy Spirit so that I can learn what it is that I’m supposed to learn, making me more fit to be used by You.
In Jesus name I pray and ask these things,
Amen
Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
2 Chronicles 32:31
Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Psalms 26:2
For the LORD will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance.
Psalms 94:14
