God is With You In The Valley of the Shadow of Death

August 20, 2020

Listen to audio

Death, no matter what type it is, represents the end of something. People often think of death as the end of life, or the physical decaying of the body. But there are actually many different types of deaths. Death could be the end of a friendship, relationship, or marriage. Death could be the end of a dream never realized, or the end of a job, whether fired, laid off, or quit. But even just being in the shadows of death can be devastating and frightening, especially during these uncertain times. However, children of God need not have fear because the Lord is the Good Shepherd, always there to protect and comfort His sheep. And one thing is for sure, regardless of the ending you may have faced, now be facing, or yet to face, God has promised to be with His children and never leave your side, even in the valley of the shadow of death.

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You for being the Good Shepherd and continually watching over me. Draw me ever closer to You Lord in all of my endings- past, present, and future. And Thank You Lord for freeing me from fear, as I have complete assurance that You are always with me, even in the valley of the shadow of death.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psalms 23:1

I am the Good Shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

John 10:11

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Psalms 23:4
