Nowadays temptations and addictions are all around us at massively high levels. People are addicted to drugs, alcohol, gambling, cheating, and pornography amongst other things. Moreover, the internet has made some of these things more readily available. People can gamble online. There are websites that teach people how to cheat. And online pornography is rampant. Even self-proclaimed Christian movie directors are basically promoting pornography through their network shows. Furthermore, temptation is a given. People are tempted to put things before God, including their time, their job, and others. Many people are tempted with procrastination and the list goes on and on. But with God, you have the power to overcome any temptation or any addiction. God has the power to deliver from anything and He has given you the power to overcome anything. When you submit to God, fast, pray, resist temptation, and utilize available resources if necessary. God will make you brand new and truly free to be who He has called you to be.

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for the power to overcome anything through the power that You provide and the power that You have given to me. Whether temptations and/or addictions, I know that there is nothing too hard for You, Lord. And I ask that You help those struggling with hidden temptations and addictions that only You can see. Lord, I pray that with sincerity in their heart, You would give them an increase of Your divine power and bring about deliverance and freedom right now. I give You all the glory and honor.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Hebrews 12:4

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.

James 1:12
