Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7
Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
2 Thessalonians 3:16
If America ever needed God, we need Him now. With so much violence, so much discord, so much tragedy, so much pain occurring every day, we need the Lord God as never before. Continued images of evil are playing out right before our eyes. People are hurting and have lost hope in anything good. They are resorting to violence and taking as many lives as they can before they take their own. Satan is rampant seeking as many as he can devour and as much as it’s not being said, these are the last and evil days and what is being seen is actions of spiritual wickedness in high places.
No matter what is going on around us, God is still God, sitting on the throne. And He’s waiting for all who would to turn to Him in these turbulent times. We as a people both collectively and individually are in need of peace and only God can provide the peace that stands in the midst of the storm. Only God can provide the peace that gives you the hope that is needed in times such as these. And only God can give you peace that surpasses all understanding.
No matter what is going on in the world, both near and far, turn to God during these times. Increase the time you spend with Him. Talk to Him about what You feel and be honest with Him how it all affects You. God listens and God cares. Pour out your heart to Him. Bring your concerns to Him. Bring your requests to Him. God cares. And after you’ve done all of that thank Him in humble gratitude and faith that the God of peace Himself is going to wrap you up in a tailor-made blanket of peace as only He can do.
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for being the God of Peace. Lord there is so much that is happening in the world, which is causing distress and heartache for so many. There are so many forces competing for our peace and hope and faith. But God You are God yesterday, today, and forever and hold all power in Your hands. And as chaotic as things are, I know that You are always in control. Lord I pray Your peace for all who put their trust in You and for all who turn to You. I pray that they would experience the peace that only You can give. I pray for Your peace which surpasses all understanding to permeate our hearts, minds, bodies, souls, and spirits. Lord, I give You all the glory, honor, and praise due Your holy name.
In Jesus name I pray,
