John 10:11
I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.
Psalms 23:1
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalms 23:2
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
There’s a phrase that says the grass is not always greener on the other side. This means that you can’t always go by how something looks or feels because you might be in for a surprise. You might just find out that what you have your eyes or heart set on, may actually be the total opposite of what it appears to be and that being in a bad way.
Looks can be deceiving and feelings are not always on point. What looks like the real deal may really be fake, and that goes for people, as well as things. Furthermore, what you feel may be right for you may in fact be all kinds of wrong. That gorgeous green grass may just turn out to be some artificial turf, which is just not the same thing.
Pastures are valuable in that they are available for animals to graze year-round. They may contain a variety of pasture plants such as herbs, legumes, and luscious green grass. The green color of the grass is significant because it symbolizes wholeness, nutritiousness, fertility, and growth. Furthermore, the color green is associated with peace and tranquility, and hope.
With the Lord as our Shepherd, we, His sheep, can confidently lie down in green pastures. This means that we can rest assured that the grass IS definitely greener on the other side. When you are walking with the Lord, you can rest assured that there are no fake versions, no hidden agendas, and no broken promises. The Lord’s green pastures are divine with perfect conditions year-round.
When you lie down in the Lord’s green pastures, you will experience divine relaxation knowing you are in the perfect place with the perfect conditions created by the Perfect Shepherd to support your growth, healing, and restoration. You can relax knowing that the Lord’s green pastures are resistant to extreme weather conditions. Nothing can destroy the Lord’s green pastures. It’s a place of safety, peace, harmony, love, and guarantee. So, relax your mind, heart, body, spirit, and soul knowing the Lord has everything under His control as you lie down in the Lord’s green pastures.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for allowing us to lie down in Your divine green pastures. Lord Your green pastures are a place that provides us with so many things that we need for our natural and spiritual bodies. Lord thank You for the nutrients that help us to grow. Thank You for the peace, tranquility, and harmony that we experience in Your green pastures. Thank You for the love. Most of all Lord, thank You for the blessed assurance that as our Lord and Shepherd, we can wholly trust that everything You say, and all that we see with our spiritual eyes is 100% authentic. Lord, help us to realize this fact. And Lord we pray that others who don’t know You as their Lord and Savior will give their lives to You today and follow You, the Good Shepherd, experiencing these things and so much more. Lord, help us all to realize that with You the grass is definitely, always greener on the other side. Dear Lord, help us to know all that we seek is with You as we lie down relaxing in Your green pastures.
In Jesus name we pray, thank You Lord,
Amen
