Psalms 121:3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Psalms 121:4 Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalms 121:5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Psalms 121:6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Psalms 121:7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul.

Psalms 121:8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Whether you know it or not, you are in a battle every moment of your life. Even when things are going great, you are still in battle. In fact, when things are going great, the battle may get even more fierce. This is because the Bible says in Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. There is always a spiritual battle going on to pull you away from being all that God created you to be and doing all that He created you to do. There is always a spiritual battle going on to catch you off guard and steal your dreams, your hopes, your plans, your mind, even your very soul.

But thank God for the Keeper of your soul, who never sleeps or slumbers. There are several different roles of a keeper. For example, a keeper can be a caretaker- someone who looks after another person, such as being a caretaker for a sick patient or family member. A caretaker can be someone who cares for goods or property, such as a caretaker for a house. A caretaker can also be a guardian, someone who protects, guards, and preserves a person or property, such as preserving treasured artifacts in a museum.

Several qualities are needed to be a good keeper, such as being knowledgeable, dependable committed, patient, understanding, and untiring. And good keepers are good caretakers who don’t sleep on the job. Imagine a caretaker who is supposed to be watching your loved one or your house and precious belongings, but instead they are sleeping or dozing on the job, allowing your loved one to get injured, or someone to break in and steal your cherished belongings. Well God alone possesses every role of a keeper. He is perfect in doing so and He never sleeps or slumbers.

God is the caretaker of your life in sickness, health, and all spiritual battles that you face. He looks after not only you but all that you possess. God is also the guard who protects you. God is always watching over His children and looking out for them, protecting them from hurt, harm, and danger planned by the evil one. God is always sitting on the throne in His omnipotent power, yet He is omnipresent being everywhere you go, seeing everything that is planned for you, and blocking any and all evil against you. God preserves you from all the trials and tribulations that could destroy you. He alone preserves your very soul.

So, every day, all day, you can rise in the morning, confident, knowing that the Lord is your Keeper. You can go through your day, with joy knowing that no matter what happens, the Lord is your Keeper. You can go to bed at night and sleep in sweet peace, knowing that the Lord is your Keeper. Although there is a constant spiritual battle going on to bring you down, that won’t happen, can’t happen when you’re walking with the Lord, because the Lord is your Keeper. He will keep you through everything.

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for being my Keeper and Lord what a Keeper You are. There’s none like You Lord. You are the only one that cares for every aspect of my life. You are the only one that can and does protect me from all evil, and from all spiritual powers planned to keep me from being all that You created me to be and do all that You created me to do. Lord You are the only that preserves my soul as You always preserve the souls of Your children. Lord, I know that there is nothing, absolutely nothing that can come against me and all that You have planned for my life. I pray that You will help me to be ever mindful of this Lord, and to hold on to this promise, especially during the rough times. And Lord please bless those who have not committed their lives to You and have not taken the time to get to know You, receive all the love that You have to give, and walk in Your divine peace. May they come to know You Lord as their Keeper too

In Jesus name I pray, thank You Lord,

Amen
