John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever.

For so many around the world, Thanksgiving is a special day reserved out of the year to give thanks to God for His many blessings. It’s a time reserved to Thank God for special time with family and friends. It’s a time to gather around the table that’s spread with delicious food and desserts and thank God for His provisions.
However, we must remember to reserve a place at the table for Jesus. We must remember to not just thank the Lord for our blessings and food and then go about our business. We must remember to always make Him the focal point at the table of our lives.
We must reserve a place for Jesus at the table and not just on Thanksgiving, but every day. We must invite Him in to take His rightful place at the head of the table in our homes and in our hearts. This is how we truly recognize God for being who He is, the great I AM, we recognize Jesus for being Lord of our lives, we recognize the Holy Spirit as being our Comforter. This is how we really thank God for all His many blessings He has so graciously bestowed upon us.
When we reserve a place for Jesus at the table, we open our homes and lives to His abundant peace, that peace which surpasses all understanding. When we reserve a place for Jesus at the table, we focus on all that we have instead of what we don’t have. We focus on having all that we need, which is Jesus, and He’s more than enough.
Jesus said, I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place, I will come again and receive you unto Myself. He sacrificed so much to prepare this place for us. The least we can do is prepare a place for Him.
As we prepare our homes with beautiful décor and prepare our feasts, we must take care to prepare our natural and spiritual homes for Jesus. And we prepare a place for Him, by removing the clutter in our hearts, minds, body, spirit, and soul so that we have a clean place for Him at the table. So today, Thanksgiving Day, and every day, reserve a place for Jesus at the table and prepare for Him as never before.
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for the humbling opportunity to thank You for Your many undeserved blessings, not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day. Lord as I approach this Thanksgiving holiday, I ask that by Your Holy Spirit You help me to be ever mindful to always prepare a place for You at the table of my home, my life, my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. Lord, I ask You to search my heart and help me remove any clutter in any area of my life that may interfere with You continuously having a place at my table. I acknowledge You as being Lord and head of everything in my life. I honor You above all others and I love You Lord,
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
