Today is the first day of your journey in the new year. What is your destination, what is your goal(s)? For sure a destination is needed on any journey, otherwise you may end up somewhere you don’t want to be. And plans are needed for the journey as well to reach the goal of your destination. To have a successful journey, first and foremost make a commitment to start this year/your journey off by renewing your relationship with the Lord. This could mean restoring a neglected relationship with the Lord if it wasn’t what it should’ve been last year. And/or it could mean to restore the relationship to perfection, to regenerate it, to take your relationship with the Lord to a new, higher level even if you were satisfied with it last year. Either way, you must first let go of the old to make room for the new. You can then reach your destination successfully and receive the many blessings God has in store for you along the way.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for allowing me, my family, and friends to be in the land of the living to bring in this brand new year. I praise You Lord God for this tremendous, undeserved blessing. Lord I know that the best way to start this new year off is to renew my relationship with You and letting go of the old to make room for the new. So today, right now, I am making a commitment to take my relationship with You to a new, higher level. I want better than last year Lord. I want to go even higher in Your will, in Your love, in You. Please help me Holy Spirit to achieve this along my journey this year.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
Mark 2:22
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
