What amazing stories centuries old trees, standing so tall and regal, could tell. They no doubt have seen a lot in their time and weathered many storms with roots that run deep. Well people are like trees as well. Your spiritual roots run deep and determine your character and what you are capable of doing or becoming. Good roots produce healthy plants and good fruit, while bad roots can infect good roots and even destroy the entire vine. The Bible says to search yourself diligently for any root of bitterness that can spring up, and trouble and defile you, as when you have been wronged and hurt by your enemies. Well, allow God, the Great Gardner, to pull up any roots of bitterness and let the peace of God rule in your heart. God loves you more than you will ever know. And no matter what you have endured, remember there are no roots deeper than God’s reach.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for being the Great Gardner of my heart, mind, body, and soul and for loving me the way that You do, like only You can do. I know that there are no roots deeper than Your reach Lord God. And I praise You Lord, and I magnify Your Holy name for pulling up any and all roots of bitterness within me, so that I can grow deeper in You Lord, to be used by You, my Lord, Savior, and King.
