Psalms 61:1

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

Psalms 61:2

From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.

When a loved one passes, it can be the absolute worst time of a person’s life. And when that loved one dies by suicide, their family and friends may be in sheer bewilderment wondering what they could have missed or why they couldn’t see what their loved one was going through. Sometimes they may even have anger at their loved one for the suicide. Only the Lord can feel what they feel, help them get through this tragic time, and give them complete peace and He does so in His own divine time. Please join me in this prayer for those who have a loved one who passed due to suicide.

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for this opportunity to come to You today at undoubtedly the darkest moment of someone’s life, because they have a loved one who passed due to suicide. Lord somebody has a daughter, son, husband, wife, mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, or another precious member of their family that has passed because they ended their life. And Lord, someone has a friend, even their best friend, who may have also been their family member who passed in this very tragic way. Lord, whatever the relationship, we ask that You bless the loved ones who are still here dealing with unbearable pain, struggling to understand and make sense out of this unforeseen tragedy. Lord, we pray that You comfort them as only You can. We pray that You touch them as only You can. Lord, we pray that You give them divine peace as only You can. Lord, we ask that You remove any guilt, anger, confusion, and doubt. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your love and send people their way to comfort and support them for as long as they need. And Lord, we pray that any loved ones who are still here, will evaluate and re-evaluate their relationship with You. Lord we ask that they prioritize their relationship with You, choosing to live for You as never before. To You Lord, be all the glory.

In Jesus most precious and holy name we pray,

Amen
