Prayer and Fasting for Spiritual Health, Victory, and Success

Fasting is one of the best things that you can do to bring about change, especially when you are embarking on a new journey. But spiritual fasting is much more than abstaining from food or other things. Spiritual fasting is done with and through the Holy Spirit that resides within you and therefore can only be achieved through having a relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Through prayer and fasting, you strengthen your spiritual body, grow closer to God and defeat the enemy. In fact, prayer and fasting is sometimes the only thing that will defeat some demonic spirits. When God does a new thing in your life, the enemy will try to block your goals and path to success with an all-out spiritual attack. But trust God that through prayer and fasting, you’ve already won the battle and praise Him for the victory. Add fasting to your spiritual health regimen this year and experience success as never before.

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for the power of fasting. Lord I know that prayer and fasting is sometimes the only way to deal with some things that occur in the spiritual realm and are manifested in both the spiritual and natural. Lord I ask that You help me as I make a commitment to You to fast on a regular basis this year to strengthen my spiritual body, grow closer to You, defeat the enemy, and experience spiritual breakthroughs. I thank You in advance for all that You’re going to do in and through me this year to achieve Your will. I praise and thank You Lord for success in reaching my goals through prayer and fasting and I celebrate the victory right now.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

Joel 2:12

And when He was come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And He said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Mark 9:28- 29

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Isaiah 58:6

So we fasted and besought our God for this: and He was intreated of us.

Ezra 8:23
