When King Jehosophat was going to battle, he looked at the great number of his opponents and became afraid. So, he fasted and prayed to God for help. God answered King Jehosophat and told him to not be afraid or dismayed because of the great multitude, as the battle was not his, but the Lord’s. God told him to just go to the place of battle, but he wouldn’t even need to fight- just sit back and watch God fight the battle for him. King Jehosophat and all the people began to praise God even before the battle had begun. When God showed up and destroyed their enemies, they praised God again. Once you have committed your life to God, He will do the same thing for you. God is saying just show up and watch Me fight your battle for you- be still and see the salvation of the Lord. The battle is not yours, it’s the Lord.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for fighting my battles for me. Lord, what a comfort to know that all I have to do is show up, stand still, and watch You conquer every single one of my enemies and problems. And Lord because of this, I know that I don’t have to worry or be afraid of anything or anyone. Father God, I bless Your holy name and praise You in advance for what You’re going to do. I’m going to bless You and praise You in the midst of the battle for what You’re doing. nd I’m going to bless and praise You after the battle is won for what You’ve done. Thank You Lord that the battle is not mine, it’s Yours.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
And He said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.
2 Chronicles 20:15
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
2 Chronicles 20:17
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for His mercy endureth for ever.
