Plugged Into The Lord

Isaiah 40:28

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding.

Isaiah 40:29

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

Isaiah 40:30

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

We live in a very technological age with many people owning a computer, tablet, cell phone, iWatch and probably other gadgets as well. We need to keep track of these devices 24/7, such as making sure they have enough storage, deleting items, transferring items to other devices. But, most of all we need to keep our devices charged because a device not charged is a device we can’t use.

I’m sure most of you know that very frustrating feeling when you’re having an important phone conversation and then your phone battery dies. Or you’re lost and notice your phone isn’t charged. Let’s not even talk about the huge project or paper you were working on when your computer screen goes black because your computer wasn’t charged. What’s worse you didn’t hit the save button before it died and you don’t have autosave turned on, so you lost all your work.

Well one day I was carrying on with my usual busy schedule and needed to charge my iPhone. I charged it for what I thought was enough time. However, when I went to take it off the charger to use it, to my dismay, it wasn’t charged at all! Troubleshooting, I realized I had the wrong charger plugged into the wrong device. Immediately the Holy Spirit spoke to me and gave me a message.

The Holy Spirit showed me how many people go through life using the wrong charger plugged into the wrong device. While they’re busy doing life, they think they’ve positioned themselves for success as they’ve envisioned, or for their needs and desires to be met, only to find out they’re still in the same place, doing the same thing, trying to fix the same old problem, with absolutely nothing changed. In fact, their situation may have become worse because plugging the wrong charger into the wrong device can actually damage the device.

Yes, many people go through life plugged into something that is incompatible with them and they wonder why they’re stagnant and stuck. This is because, God Almighty, the Creator, did not intend for us to be charged by or plugged into anything but Him. Everyone and everything else is supposed to flow from Him. In fact, if we are plugged into anything but the Lord, we will be just like that device, uncharged. We will be incapable of functioning to our highest ability.

But oh, when we are plugged into the Lord God Jehovah, Jesus Christ, the Savior, and the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, we are always charged, we never lose a charge. We function at our highest ability and reach our highest level here on Earth. That’s when we are truly living and not just going through the motions of life. Plugging into the Lord will exhilarate your mind, body, spirit, and soul. You will run on a divine current that the world can’t even begin to understand. So, check yourself. Make sure your main charge is the Lord and that you’re plugged into Him. Be blessed with the holy current that never ends.

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for being the Almighty, eternal charger of our mind, bodies, spirit, and soul. Lord, thank You for the blessed gift to be plugged into You, the Creator, Savior, Gatekeeper, Miracle Worker, and giver of Peace. O God, Lord we pray that You would show us ourselves. Show us if, and when we are using the wrong charger and plugged into the wrong thing. Lord, we ask that You save those who haven’t considered You or who have rejected You; bring those back who have left You; prevent those from leaving who are being drawn away from You; sustain those who have chosen to live for You. Lord, keep us all charged by You and plugged into Your eternal divine current of holiness. Help us to see that only then will we be able to fully live the life that You have planned for us in serving You and live out our true purpose for You.

In Jesus’ most holy and precious name we pray. We love and thank You Lord,
