And Thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors Thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
Nehemiah 9:11
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 55:8
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:9
When the children of Israel were being pursued by Pharoah and his army, they were encamped by the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army closing in on them. With nowhere to go they were afraid and made a decision they would rather be slaves again than to die in the wilderness. They were looking back instead of looking ahead. They were looking at their present and measuring it against their past. They couldn’t see their way out of their situation because all they saw was Pharaoh’s great army and a sea they knew they couldn’t cross.
However, they didn’t look at God and the power of His might. Could they have known the mind of God that He was going to part the Red Sea, hold back the waters, and take them through on dry ground? No, because God’s thoughts and ways are so far above ours, no one can ever know the mind of God. But we don’t need to know how God’s going to work it out, we just need to claim in faith that He is going to work it out.
Are you going through a battle right now, or a situation where you feel stuck? Well fear not. You can rest in God’s strength and have peace from anxiety knowing that God can do for you what He did for the children of Israel. God can provide dry land in the midst of your sea. Wow, if that doesn’t speak to the power of God.
Can you just imagine it? You’re in your sea of troubles, planked on every side by problems, grief, anxiety, fear, unsurety and then God steps in and in the midst of your sea, He creates a path of dry land for you to march right through. The water is still there, but God holds it at bay, creating a wall on either side of you. And then by His Holy Spirit, God guides you, on dry land, straight through that sea, drowning your problems behind you. Thank You Jesus.
So just follow God and have no fear. Allow God to take you through your sea of pain, shame, depression, grief, fear, doubt, whatever it may be- allow Him to take you through on dry land and just follow Him. God wouldn’t create a path that leads to nowhere. You can rest assured that He’s taking you safely to the next part of your journey. So regardless of the problems you face, go forward in faith, believing that God is going to divide your sea and make a path for you on dry ground.
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for the power of Your might. Lord increase my faith and give me the strength to look to You regardless of the situation. Help me to judge my future and my present only by Your miraculous power. Lord, today I move forward in Your mighty name and I am claiming in victory that You are going to part my sea and take me through on dry ground to my next divinely appointed destination.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
