Psalms 9:10
And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.
Psalms 18:6
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears.
Psalms 37:25
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Psalms 18:30
As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed and overburdened, until you felt like you were being buried underneath all of your troubles? During those times, perhaps it felt like your voice was distant from God? Maybe you even asked yourself does God really hear me?
Sometimes without even meaning to, it’s easy to adapt the mindset that God is not listening and that your problems are not important to Him. It’s easy to think that God hasn’t heard you. There may even come a time when you feel that God has forsaken you.
Be encouraged that God never, ever forsakes His children. God will not forsake those who know Him and put their trust in Him. God is saying you have to know Me, know who I am, and what I can do. And then trust Me to do just that.
God says that He saves His anointed. His timing might not be your timing. And His help may not be what you envisioned, because sometimes God sends help in mysterious ways, in ways that You could never, ever imagine. God is saying just trust Me with your whole heart because I will never forsake my children. That is a promise you can count on with every fiber of your being. And God extends that promise to all who will commit their life to Him. What peace, what comfort, what abundant joy to know that with God, you are not forsaken.
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for the consolation of knowing that with You, I am not forsaken. Lord I know this to be true, now and forever. Lord what peace, joy, and strength this gives me. Please help me Dear Lord God to keep this divine promise ever before me no matter how high the pile of my burdens and no matter what comes my way. Lord I put all of my trust in You and I will keep trusting You in all things for You will never ever forsake Your children who put their trust in You. And Thank You Father God for being such a great Father that this promise is open to all who will receive You. May someone today, come to know You Lord and bask in the peace of knowing that they are not forsaken. And may Your children who feel so overburdened and overwhelmed have renewed strength and faith that with You, they are not forsaken.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
