Genesis 39:21

But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

Psalms 37:5

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.

Deuteronomy 31:8

And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God:

I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness.

When Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, his situation, no doubt, looked very grim. He was hated by his brothers and separated from his family, not knowing what was to become of him. But from the very beginning of Joseph’s situation and throughout his ordeal, the Bible says that God was with him. God was in control, watching over Joseph, protecting him, and guiding him, even in the midst of what seemed like his misfortune. God was with Joseph the whole time, never leaving his side. And in God’s perfect time, He completely turned Joseph’s situation around.

Perhaps you’ve been going through something and can relate in some or many ways to Joseph. Perhaps members of your family or people that you thought would always love and be there for you have led their hatred and jealousy of you to plot evil against you and turn their backs on you. Or maybe you’ve found yourself for a number of reasons, in a situation that you never thought you’d be in. Perhaps you’ve been going through your situation for a day, a week, month, a year, or many years. Sometimes it may seem that there’s no end in sight because every time you come up a little, you feel you’re being pushed back down.

Well don’t despair, God sees, God hears, and God knows. God has not forsaken you and He never will. It may feel to you that there’s no end in sight. But just have faith that God will turn it around. Your job is to commit your way to the Lord and keep on trusting Him no matter what. You must trust God no matter how dismal things look or get, knowing that God is with you. Be patient and keep your focus on Jesus. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and watch and see that God will turn it all around.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for never, ever forsaking Your children. You are always watching, listening, and working on behalf of those who love You and commit their way unto You. Lord, I ask that You increase my faith, patience, and endurance no matter the situation, and help me to keep trusting with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul that You are always with me, and You will turn it around.

In Jesus name I pray, thank You Lord,

Amen
