Joash was the great grandson of King Jehosophat and the grandson of King Jehoram. After the death of his father, King Ahaziah, Joash’s grandmother, Queen Athaliah, plotted to have all heirs to the throne murdered, to secure her position as sole ruler of Judah. But, her plans were interrupted when God had Joash’s aunt, Jehoshebeath, and her husband, Jehoiada hide him for 6 years until the wicked Queen Athaliah was killed. Afterward, Joash, the sole survivor to the throne, emerged from hiding to become the 8th King of Judah at seven years old. Like King Joash, God will sometimes hide you while He’s preparing you for your period to reign in order to do His work. During the time of hiding, God will remove people out of your way that are trying to block you from doing what the Lord has called you to do and prevent you from walking into your destiny. So know that God will hide you while He’s preparing you and His timing is always best.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for Your divine timing. While it may seem at times that nothing is happening, Lord it is at those times that You are preparing me to lead, You are preparing me for success -Lord, You are preparing me to do Your work. I may not even know who is plotting evil against me. But I know, that Lord You know all things, and it is then that You hide me as You remove anything and anyone that is trying to stop me from doing Your will. Lord help me to forever rest in this fact, that Your timing is always best.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
