People often view being alone and being lonely as the same thing, but they’re actually very different. Being alone is a physical state of being by yourself, while being lonely is a psychological state of feeling like you’re by yourself, even when someone is there. Being lonely may or may not be associated with being alone. A person can be alone, but not be lonely, and a person cannot be alone and yet feel lonely. Furthermore, loneliness is associated with depression and other mental and physical health disorders. Being alone is easy to spot, but being lonely can be hidden in plain sight. Only God understands the pain and fear of being lonely. Only God can look inside your heart and see what’s hidden from the world. And only God can lift the dark clouds of loneliness and replace them with His divine sunlight. Seek and trust God and He will deliver you from the fear of loneliness.
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for being the God of the lonely. I know that only You can see what others cannot see and only You know what others do not know. And Lord, I know that only You can lift the dark clouds of loneliness and replace them with your divine sunlight. My soul declares that You are the God who delivers from the fear of loneliness.
In Jesus name I pray,
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.
I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
