Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Mark 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
The Bible says that faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Some people equate faith with the power of positive thinking. But faith is so much more than just thinking positively about something. True faith is supernatural. True faith is divine. True faith comes from a committed relationship to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. True faith gives you the power to move mountains.
There’s an old gospel song called Lord Don’t Move the Mountain. The very popular chorus says Lord, You don’t have to move my mountain but give me the strength to climb… As catchy and poplar as the song is, truth be told, there are some mountains that you don’t want to climb, you just want them to move.
Well, the amazing thing is that Jesus says you can move those mountains. He said if you have the faith as of a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to yonder, meaning to some distant place, out of your life, and it will move. The significance of that parable is the tiny size of the mustard seed in relation to the size of faith needed to move mountains. All you need is just a little faith.
You see, a little faith can bring about big changes. Maybe your mountain is a closed door. A little faith can open doors that are closed. Maybe your mountain is an incurable illness. A little faith can heal what doctors say can’t be healed. Maybe your mountain is a long-standing problem that seems like it won’t ever go away. A little faith can move that problem right on out of your life for once and for all. A little faith can move all the mountains in your life.
So first analyze the status of your relationship with the Lord. Are you giving God your all? Are you putting Him first in your life? If not, don’t waste any more time and start anew today. When you do or you already are doing those things, recognize and exercise the power of faith that God has afforded everyone who lives for Him. List the mountains in your life one by one, and with faith as the size of a mustard seed, do what Jesus said to do. Tell those mountains to MOVE to yonder place and they WILL MOVE. Believe it, claim it, and see it come to pass in the mighty name of Jesus. You have the faith to move mountains.
your faith in the Lord can and will move any and every mountain in your life, in the mighty name of Jesus!
Believe you have the faith to move mountains, claim you have the faith to move mountains. Speak to those mountains and tell them to move in the mighty name of Jesus and see it come to pass. You have the faith to move mountains.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for Your loving grace, abundant mercy, and unmatched tender sacrificial love. Lord, we thank You for faith to move mountains. O mighty Lord, You are more than generous, more than great, more than powerful. You have undeservingly blessed us through our faith in You to move the mountains in our lives. And Lord because You know our frailty as human beings, You have made it possible for us to move those mountains with just the faith as of the size of a mustard seed. But Lord You have made that tiny size of faith divinely possible to do the impossible and move mountains. Lord, we recognize that we don’t have to only climb the mountains in our lives. No matter the size of the mountain, with just a tiny bit of faith in You, we can confidently tell those mountains to MOVE, and they will MOVE in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, help us to first strengthen our relationship with You and then Lord, help us to remove any doubt and to have faith that’s needed to move mountains. We believe You Lord and exercise that faith today.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, thank You Lord,
Amen
