When going through trials and tribulations, patience is required. And while it may seem that patience is a passive process, the opposite is actually true. Patience is an active process involving many things. It takes action to trust God in the midst of trials. It takes action to allow the peace of God to rule in the midst of the storm. And it takes action to rise above your trials and tribulations because patience requires stamina, persistence, fortitude, perseverance- all of which are active processes. During trials and tribulations God will give you the patience to endure. But you have to actively use what God gives you. So, as you are going through your trials and tribulations, move forward through the power of the Holy Ghost, actively exercise patience and you will emerge victoriously on the other side of the mountain.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for Your divine patience. Lord I see that patience requires so much more than just passively waiting for my trials and tribulations to end. It requires action for me to trust You, exercise peace, persevere, be persistent, and so much more. Lord, I ask that You give me more of Your divine patience and all that it entails as I move victoriously through my trials and tribulations by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
In your patience possess ye your souls.
Luke 21:19
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Romans 5:3-4
