A Stronger Body and Good Health Begins with Serving God

God takes great focus on your body, because He wants every part of you to be whole and healthy. In fact, it is our duty to present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice. Hezekiah served God his whole life, including honoring God with his body. When Hezekiah became sick unto death, he prayed to God, asking for consideration in light of walking before God with a perfect heart. Hezekiah’s prayer moved God to heal him and add 15 years to his life. God is a God of healing restoration. If you are lacking good health, God can restore your health. If you need a stronger body, God can provide that as well. God can even add years to your life, all for His glory. Of a surety, God can and will take your body and health to levels never imagined, to achieve His will when you present your body as a living sacrifice to Him.

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for my body. I recognize that only You know what is needed for me to perform at my best for You and I also recognize that because of that, my body and journey of health may look and be different from the next person. Lord I present my body a living sacrifice to You and ask that You would bless my body and bless me with the knowledge needed to be in the best shape to do Your will and to glorify You all the days of my life.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

2 Kings 20:1-3

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

2 Kings 20:5-6
