Walking on My High Places with Hinds' Feet

August 10, 2020

Despite his circumstances, Habakkuk learned to rejoice in the Sovereign Lord, and that his joy was in the God of his salvation. He declared that the Lord is his strength and would make his feet like hind’s feet, and make him to walk upon his high places. This analogy is significant because the hind (female deer) can place her back feet in the same exact spot where her front feet have just been. Being a mountain animal, the hind can trek to its high places in the steep mountains with speed, strength, and precision. And like the hind, God has uniquely prepared high places for each one of us. God wants to take you higher in Him so that you can serve Him at your highest potential. And He has equipped you with exactly what you need to get there, hind’s feet!

Prayer:

Dear Father God,

Thank You Lord for being my strength, my rock, and my power in every single situation. Lord, I know that on this journey, You have high places prepared just for me, and I want to go to those high places Lord so that I can go higher in serving You. Thank You Lord for giving me hind’s feet, making my way perfect.

In Jesus holy and magnificent name I pray,

Amen

The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Habakkuk 3:19

For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?

2 Samuel 22: 32

God is my strength and power: and He maketh my way perfect.

2 Samuel 22:33

He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: and setteth me upon my high places.

2 Samuel 22:34
