With the busyness of life, your energy may be directed away from the present moment. Your mind focuses on things that you didn’t get done yesterday and all that you have to do tomorrow, next week, even deadlines that you have to meet next month. Without realizing it, you are giving all of your energy to yesterday and tomorrow, instead of the present moment where it is needed the most. The best way to keep energy where it belongs is to show God gratitude in and for the moment. When you do this, you are more in tuned with the Holy Spirit, and hearing His voice, you stay vigilant of the tricks of Satan, and you maintain power, control, and peace no matter the situation, altering the moment and your life dramatically for the better. Your focus remains on God where it belongs and not on things that you can’t control- yesterday and tomorrow. This moment is uniquely yours. What are you grateful for?
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for this precious moment. I show gratitude in this moment for my eyes seeing the radiant sunlit sky that You created, for my ears hearing the buzzing of working appliances, and for my lungs inhaling and exhaling as I breathe. Lord, I ask that You help me to be more aware and more appreciative of the moments in my life that You have uniquely given to me. And Lord help me to direct and redirect my energy where it belongs, not yesterday and not tomorrow, but in the moment with You. I love You Lord.
