Proverbs 24:16
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Luke 11:10
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Is there something that you want really bad, and you’ve tried over and over and over again to get it, but you just keep missing the mark? Some call that failure, some call it success turned inside out. Whatever it means to you, what’s common to all is that it can be frustrating, stressful, and drain you of hope.
Many of the greatest legends of all time failed before achieving their groundbreaking, earth-shattering success. But earthly success is fleeting, it’s only for the here and now, because it can never reach beyond where we are right now- earth and the natural. When you are a child of God, and you are walking in God’s purpose for your life, success is not determined by man’s standards, but God’s and goes far beyond this world. What is failure to man, may be success to God, because God sees the bigger picture of how that experience fits into His grand, master plan for your life. Every seemingly failed attempt at reaching your goal is an opportunity to grow closer to God, to grow stronger in Him, be better for Him, let your light shine even brighter for Him, increase your faith in Him, and improve your resilience for more challenging tasks that you are sure to face further on up the road.
Have you noticed that all of the scriptures for today’s devotion are all action oriented? You have to put in the work and keep putting it in if that’s what it takes. When you do that, know that there is absolutely nothing that you can’t do- when done to the glory and honor of God and within His will. When you fall or miss the mark, give God thanks, look to Jesus, get back up, and give it your all. With that combination and faith in God, you will achieve your God given goal because there is no failure in God’s plans.

Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for allowing me to know what it is to fall down and/or miss the mark. For it is those experiences, when I take heed, that draw me closer to You and achieving Your purpose in my life. Lord help me to recognize this divine truth every time that I fall short and to get back up, give it my all, and continue on my journey to complete Your will. And Lord, please keep Your truth ever before me that You have a master plan for my life and there is no failure in Your plans. I love You Lord.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
