Defined by God's Labels

From birth, people are given labels that define them, and those labels can motivate them to be better. However, if allowed, some labels can be very harmful. Labels may come from enemies, other people, even family members, such as parents. For example, Jabez’s mother named him such because she bore him in sorrow. And some people use their own negative experience to define you as well. But Jabez was determined to not be defined by any negative labels. In fact, he prayed to God to keep him from grief. Jabez also asked God to bless him mightily and to enlarge his coast and God granted his prayer requests. Just like Jabez, refuse to allow any negative labels to define you. Ask God to remove any negative labels that you have been assigned and are wearing and ask God’s protection over the harm that they can or have caused you. Know that God has only positive labels for His children to help you become who He created you to be.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
Thank You Lord for helping me to recognize the negative labels that others have assigned to me. I ask You to keep me from wearing any negative labels assigned to me by anyone and that you protect me from the harm that those labels can cause. Lord I know that the labels You give Your children are only positive and as such, help me to be all and who You created me to be. Lord, I wear those labels in the power of Your might. I love You Lord.

And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
